~ AT THE KINGr’S. ‘Miss Florence Reed is now acknowledged as one of the finest emotional actresses on the screen to-day. There is a. reserve power, a firm grip of situations, 'a. convincing reality in her acting that is all too rare. Coming from the ranks of the highest in the theatrical world of Englanld and America she brings. experience and talent to the‘ screen. She is blessed with a strong personality and a. strik~ ing and beautiful appearance, and it required no prophet to depict forher great honours in the world of motion pictures. xln the Metro production, “Her Own Way,” one of Clyde Fitch’s stirring melodramvas has been chosen for Miss Reed. The famous playwright «has given more successful: plays to the stage than perhaps any other author, “.Her—Own Way” being a pronounced success on the stage. ‘lt has “pic.tured” .well. There is plenty of good action, a strong, well-developed plot, and some beautiful‘ settings and acting that is always of the highest standard. Although one situation is of a “strong” nature, the picture will be pleasing toall. The dramatic quality of this five-reel picture is well sus-tained-pthroughou.-t, reaching a strong climax in the fourth reel. _ The production, with an abundance of superb studio sets, many of; them representing lavishly furnished rooms in cosfly residences, is of even excellence, whereas the acting is more than ordinarily satisfying.
