WEDDING BELLS.

A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Presbyterian Church, Ohakune, on 16th December, 1919, when ‘Miss Ella Margaret, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. E. ‘Barkes, Ohtikune, .was married to Mr Maurice MeGregor Gorrie, youngest son of Mr and Mrs Gorrie, Mangaroa, Upper " '”Hl‘i't‘t£. The church was beautifully decorated by‘ girl friends of the Bride. The Rev. Norton ofiiciuated. The bride, who was given away by her father, looked cl:=tlrming- in a beautiful gown of white crepe do chine, trimmed With ‘pearls and panels of lace. A court train of charmeuse s'at'in, lined with shell pit-1;, hung‘ from the shoulders, fastened with pearl ornaments. She also wore the orthodox veil and - orange blossoms, and carried .a beautiftil bouquet of ‘Christmas lillies, roses, and pale pink earntaions. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Miss Edith Parke.-5 -and Miss Flora McColl, of Taihape, who wore frocks of lemon crepe de chine ‘and georgette, with Leghorn hats trimmed with lavender and pink. They carried bouquets of yellow roses, e-anrations, and brown 'pa.nsies. Two little flower girls, Misses Jean O’Connor and Hilda Gorrie,looked sweet in white _wso'ile frocks and carried baskets of pink roses. The bridegroom was attended by Mr G. Parkes, of Wellington, as best man, and Mr H. J, Mnrrell, Taihape, groomsman. A reception was afterwards held at the llal% Ohakune. The Happy couple left during the afternoon amid showelrb (of rconfetti and-_g-good wishes, the bride wearing a Smzfrt costume of grey and small hat of sane ‘blue and lemon Georgette. The bridegroom’s presents to the bridesmaids were pearl rings, and to the little flower girls gold brooches; Mrs E, Box presided at the organ.

The bride’s mot-her wore a. black satin frock, feather b-oa, and small black hat with touches of pink. She carried a bouquet of pink carnati-3.15. The bridegroom ’s mother wore a smart blue costume, with black hat trimmed with tiny red roses, and she carried a bouquet of red roses and carnations.
