CORRESPONDENCE AND MISCELLANEOUS.
It was resolved to ‘cancel as from October 29th, 1919, the temporary graz. ing permit held by Mr G. Haggard, in so far as it relates to section 67, block 8, Belmont S.D.,‘Normandale Settlement, 27 acres 1 road 13 porches, and reduce the rent payablte under the permit from £1 7/ a month to £1 4/6 a month. Messrs G. A. Clarke, \Vnl. Allen, J. W. Andrews, A. T. Hunter, J, Butcher, tenants on Eaglsham Settlement, acquired for the settlement of discharged soldiers, from Mrs Montgomerie, applied for six months’ extension of their leases.—lt was resolv-. ed that the right be given to the pro» sen-t. tenants to remain in possession until I\larch, 1920. It was resolved to increase the rent payable by Mr J. C. W. T. Stevens on 500 acres in Akatarawa S.D., held by him under temporary lease, from £lO to £ls per annum as from January Ist, 1920. 1 It was resolved under section 136 (1) of the Land Act, 1908, to withdraw from selection.on renewable lease the lands in the towns ‘of Kakahi, Ninia, Horopito West, Owhango, Waitanga, and Ran-gfiataua, advertised on pages 21 and 22 of -the Crown Lands Guide, in order that such lands may be oifered for sale by public auction for cash. The Board was requested to offer at public auction for a term of 21 years a lease of part of section 46, rownship of Hunterville (Edficatio-n Reserve, containing 93 acres 3 roads 5 poles, at an upset annual rental of £SO, -burdened with valuation for improvements, £3so.—Request granted.
