QUALITY BELOW AVERAGE. ‘ WANGANUI, Dec. 16. Inquiries ‘made «at the Wool: stores Show that wool is‘ coming in fairly well. The dry weather is facilitating matters to an appreciable extent. The clip, however, appears to lack the quality of other years, the vagaries of the season being responsible.’ One contributing factor to -the general lightness of the clip this season‘ is the influenza aftermath. Last season the epidemic interferred with shearing operations .to such an extent that scores of flocks which are usually shorn in November and December were not relieved of their wool'till well in January.
