SIR J _ G. WARD CONFIDENT.. . EXPPECTED DEFEAT OF TWO MINISTERS. - -T- I V WELLINGTON, Dec. 16. In the course of an overflowing and‘ enthusiastic meeting in the Town Hall Wellington last night, Sir Josepii" Ward said:“When the election is over you will find that two of t_he present Ministers will not get back into Parliament, and that there Will be a majority of melt on the side of the Liberals. ‘(Applause.) You win find that though‘ there will be crossing of votes in different parts of the country that”thea Liberal Party is. going to be {fie strongest party in power. (Loud cheers.) And I want to appeal disinterestedly to the men and Women of New Zealand not to make a. mistake at this general election of throwing votes away, because if they do they will’ put into power a reactionary Dal‘ty."’ (Hear. hear.)
