_.—....~.Q...._... ‘ DUNEDIN, Dec. 9. The inquest regarding the death of a child whose body was found in a house on Queen’s Drive on November 28th, was resumed t~o-day. Dr, Drennau who examined The body, was of opinion :that it was the body of a nfull-time natural child, which had ‘breathed, and that death had occurred from asphyxiaftion. ‘ The moth-er said she was 22 years» old. Her parents were dead. She was employed yin domestic slervfiee. She gave birth to the child ‘on the’, date merrtiofied. The Coroner’;~: verdict was that the cause of d-.ea’t.h. was esphyxialtion. The 11l‘rO‘t11C1' was immediately arrested and charged M\'vi'th manslaughter. She was remanded till Monday next. .
