SYDNEY’S LORD MAYOR. A DEADLO-CK." - SYDNEY, Dec. 9. The Lord Mayoral election has resulted in a deadlock, similar lA. 1915, when the Government appointed the Lord Mayor. Aldermen Richards and Lambert received thirteen votes each. The Assembly has adjourned. It is anticipated that Mr Holman will appoint Alderman Richards. Prior to the election the committee increased the Mayoral allowance to £ISOO owing to the advance in prices.
