This is an outstanding feature of the elections, for it signifies not merely a transfer of <eats from the Republican parties to the Right, but a movment towards the Right inside the Republican parties themselves. The 548 members elected are divieierl as follows:-———Left Republicans 117 (gaining 51 sats and losing 17 seats); Radicals _52 (gaining and losing 20--26); Radical Socialists 71 (gaming and losing 9-——7 s); Republican Scam}ists 24 (gaining and losing '€—-13);_ Unified Socialists 54 (gaining and losing 7——so); Dissontient Socialists, 6 (all gains); Progressive‘ }{s‘.)'.lbl‘.Call:-‘s 120 (gaining and losing 78--5); Liberal Actionists 73 (gaining and losing 19———6); Conservatives 31 (gaining and losing 12——12). ‘ l M.
