THE MI~,KEoWN' ESTATE. A splendid piece of land in the Borough: of Taihapc, known as McKeown’s Estate, has been subdfvidgd in accordance with iown planning ideas of Messrs Ward and Salmon, surveyors and architects, -and it now‘ comprises some ‘fl.t‘.fy— of jthe {fineist building'sites. Tenders are called for fmming, mctalling, curbing, and foot-path-miaking. All -streets are being curbed with concrete, footpaths are nine feet wide, there age 20 feet of metalling, and ten feet of green on each side. Areas are being planted with shrubs, in fact, every efl'ort is being made to make this town planning area} a model settlement. When the streets are formed ‘the fine building sites will be offered to the public. .
