Details ,of school teachers’ salaries

inci;eases.are -announced. The existing scales are unaltered, but each certified. teacher receives, an increase based upon his or her pension on the Dominion_ graiting lisft. Specific '-increases ranging from £4O to £45 are provided, payable according to grading of salary and position on the grading list. -

“The increase is to be £2O in No. 2 gr_oup if the grading is from 85 to 94, in’ NO. 5 group if from 42 to 51, in No. 6 group if from 27 to 37.

POSITION OF QTIHER. TEACI~[T:]RS. Uneertificated and licensed teachers will receive the former scale of salaries without the deductions previously imposed for absence of a. certificate, together with an addition of £lO in the case of licensed teachers. “Other increases are provided in particular instances, the. main one being the ‘payment of an additional £lO per annurn to all teachers in schools -of grade 1 to 38. “Pupil teachers will be paid as follows: 'Th’ir\'li grade £65 per Itnnum, second grade ‘£73, first grade £BS. Probationcsrs will be paid £65 for the first year and £75 for the second year. “Training College students receive and annual increase of £2o.‘ Pupil teachers. probationers, and Training College students will receive, in addition to the above rates, £25 per annum, if obliged to live away from home. 7 PAYMENT IN DECEMBER. . “The increases, which -anrount in the aggregateo to £200,000 per year, are to date from April 1, 1919, Arrears will be paid as soon as possible, but as a large amount of clerical work is involvcd, payment will probably not be made until t_hg first weelein Decomher.
