TAIHAPE DISTRICT HIGH SCHOOL.

The monthly meeting <3? the Taihape District High School was -held on Monday evening, there being present: ‘Mesdames de\ Latour, and Randall, Messrs 1-locking, Denness, Sherwin, Burrell and Swindells (chairman).

The minutes of the previous meet~ ing was read and confirmed. It was resolved that an invitation be extended to the headmaster to attend the meetings of the committee. The -Education Board notified that the schools‘ would be closed for theChristmas holidays from December 18th, re-opening on February 3rd.

A notice of motion was tabled torescind alresolution passed at the last meeting of the committee With regard to the erection of a memorial in the school grounds. The chairman and Mrs Randall were appointed a visiting Committee for the month, and also to act with the headmaster and st‘aff in making pl-eliminary arl°angelnlents for the school picnic. ‘Mr W2irdell’s account of £7 10/‘ was passed for payment.
