The blankets were sub'sequently rctur-‘ned to the ship, ‘but in consequence of information received by the agents of the ship they were all inspected and _the greater "proportion found not to have been washed. The ofiicials of the Company had an interview with the directors and the m:1:1ager of the" laundry, the -last-naznersl admitting that all -the blankets “lied not been washed because he had‘ not the "time, but all had bleenput through the drier and fumigator. The" laundry account of £199 19/ was repudiated. and when the Ship reached‘Weliington a contract was let to'Wash 370 of the same‘b_lankets. After hea=~3ng evidence and vcounsel, Magistrate Me-* Carthy reserved decision. A case against Street, manag&:r- of the laundry, will be heard tomorrmv.
