GISBORNE, this day A serious outbreak pt‘ typhoid is reported from Tear-aroa (East -Cape district). ’l‘llero have been 25 cases, five or six ending fa-Tally. Of s'even nurses sent from Auckland three are down with the fever. The na.-fives are inclined to shelter the cases until they become too bad for ti-oatnient, The outbreak is -attributed to want of proper sanitation in the n7a’tive scttlemmit. Medical help is urgently needed.
