The first star to be screened is “The Spider «and the Fly,” in which Miss Genevieve‘ Hamper, one of the most. beautiful actresses who has ever appeared on the screen, will take the principal character. Briefly stated. Queen Blanche, mistress of the Hell of Folly vows to make Delano, a young Parisian of the upper class, who has just killed his best friend in a duel, her .subservient admirer, like the other men who: surround her. HOW this \‘\'=OlIl{l“! lures men to destruction is one of the most "remarkable pieces of acting ever seen on the screen. The story is woven into the di*'aln-a» with the most consummate artcistry, grips the beholder :from beginning Ito end. The second star, to be shown after the interval, is “Gonfession,” featuring Jewel Carmen, in which she has full scope to display her undoubted histriionic ability. The story is: Bob and Mary star-t on their hone_vmoon. They are held up. Even Mary’s wedding ring -is taken. The hotel clerk compels them to spend the night in lobby chairs.
