FATAL HOTEL FRACAS.

WELINGTON, Oct. 13. The police has been advised that an altercation occurred at the iWairau Valley hotel, near Blenheim, on ’Saturday evening, between Charles Albert Gasse, licensee, and George O’Leary and others. It is alleged Gasse hit O’Leary, who fell and apparently struck his head against a seat, suffering injuries which proved fatal. Gasse has been arrested on a charge of manslaughter.
