LONDON WOOL SALES.
Messrs Dalgety and Cor.~.pa.ny_. Ltd. are in receipt of a cable from their London house under date’ of 4th inst... rea&ing as fo1lows:—“Wool sales clos.ed- Very firm. The market was very‘ animated with most wonls selling at the highest rates of the season.-E" total net .qilantity available ainpunted to 139,000 bales, of whirh 'we_re' sold to America 10,000 bale_s, f'n: Hdme com sumption 35,000 bales, to.the Continent 80,000 and -1000 were carried“ forward. As com.pa.re'd’with last sales closing rates merinos wools were from 10 per Cent. to 15 per cent. higher, fine x-b-reds 5 per cent_ higher. Any change in price of shabby x-bred wools is in favour of sellers. The next series commence on 20th October.
