CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 7.

. An important commercial venture in connection with aviation in New Zealand is shortly to be started. A concern which will form part or be con‘nected With the Larkin, Sopwith Aviation Company of ~-Australasia, intends rvvithin the next three months to active I ly commence operations. It is understood the headquarters will be in Auckland, but the aerodromes will be established in all main centres of the Dominion_ The ‘company proposes to "sell machines, cerry passengers, and rnndertake commercial rights, etC.; in ..fact, its operatilong will embrace everything ‘practicable from a commercial aspect. It is to institute a passenger service between the principal eities. including one between Wellington and .Christc‘}zurch. Liutenant D. C. Inglis, ;§D.C.M., son of the late Dr Inglis of‘ this city, will be prominently connect-j Ed with running the New Zealand concern_ Lieuteant Inglis left With the‘ :Main Body of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force and during the war I ‘attained distinction as an airman.
