Anxiefy is felt for the fate of one of the most distinguished ofiicers of the American ’ armsy. Brigadier-General Edgar Jadwin, formerly 'éonstruc'tion engineer on the Panama Canal, and second in command of the American Supply Services during the ‘var. The American Peace Delegation sent him to Ki’efl:‘ on October 14th to report on the conditions in Ukraine. He was accompanied by Lieut. Bowe, British military control oflicer at Warsaw. The: Ukrainian Government has been ‘asked for information, and reports that Jadwin infterviewed Petloura’ at Kaziatyn, and thence went "to Eastoif in company with Bowe. They have since been unheard of, and it is believed they have fallen into the hands of Red troops, peasants in the region of Eastoff stating that two Entente generals were captured and shot. . ’ ‘
