LONDON-,. Sept. 27. Obituary: Adelina'Pat‘ti, the prime donn-a. * T‘ (Adelina Patti, in her day the greatest Operatic singer in t';'"[é world, was born in Madrid in 1843. She studied under Ettore B'arili, and made her debut in the Academy of Music in New York, in 1859. She appeared at the Italian Opera House, Covent Garden, in “La Sonnainbula/” two years later. From then till. her retirement, Patti was the idol of vthe‘ operatic world. Her personality was charming: ‘rslle».w4a4s. three times married: In 1868 to Marquis de C‘-aux; in 1886 to Signor Nicolini, and in 1899 to Baron Rolf Cederstrom.)
