O’Donnell was arrested on Saturday, fifty miles north [ of Te Awamuau, on his way to Rotorua. ‘ It is alleged that he Went to 'a. house at Matiere, on the night of the 14th inst., and aftcnipted a serious assault on a woman, and that while she went for assistance he attempted a similar assault -on her daughter.
