Field whether, in order to augment the revenue of the Doi minion and (to lessen the cost to the consumer, the Government ably consider the questicfllorpstablishing a State monopoly of the importa-. tion of benzine and other commodities upon which Inordinately large profits are now being made. It is reported, he says, that, the Anglo-Persian Oil Company would be willing to supply the Hew Zealand Government with benzine,, to be convoyed here in tank steamers, at a price which would enormously difinish the retail price.
