The demand was moderate. Two-yu=Lr steers £4 10/, calves (poor) 13/ to £1 S/6, heifers (forward) to £8 5/, dry cows to £8 2/6. Of vealers there was a good entry, though the proportion Of primepveal was small. Runners brought £6 7/ to £8 10/, good vealers £3 to £4, fair £2 1/ to £2 12/, small and inferior 5/ to £1 12/. The entry of dairy COWS was a nioderaie one, some nice quality being yarded. The demand‘ showed irriprovement, and values firmed. Second and third calvers to £l7 10/, miieh cows £l2 10/, aged to £lO, heifers £4 17/6 to £ls. There was a good entry of fat pigs, and brisk inquiry. Exrta. heavy baconers to £9, prime £7 5/ to £B, medium £5" 10/ to £6 15/ (equal to 10{;d per lb), heavy porkers 75/ to 90/, medium 60/ to 70/ (equal to 11d per lb), choppers £5 to £lO. Store pigs were—'in excess of requirenients, and prices eased considerably, except for w'eane’rs. Large stores 60/ to 70/, medium 42/ to 52/, srnall 28/ to 38/, weaners 21/ to 28/, sows in pig £5 to £B.
