Police and soldiers, with full War kit, searched for arms and ammunition over a wide area. in Ireland, including Dublin,_ Londonderry, Donegal, Cork, and Skilbbpreen, Mfany parties of from ten to twenty soldiers, made a systematic search at Londonderry, discovering some: ifirerarms. A crowd followed the troops, frequently stoning them. In one instance an ofiicer prepared the troops for a volley, and the crowd scattered. An extra regiment has been drafted into County Galway, and distributed at many points. Airmen hovered over Galway ‘town ‘during the raid. mg. _

Documents seized at Sinn Fein headquarters at Dublin included some relating to trade wiah America and France, also evidence respecting the Walsh-Dunn report regarding alleged Irish atrocities, together with election registers and file§’of correspondence. Several newspapex-_ offices were searched in addition to houses of leading citizens in Kilkenny, Ltenagh, Naas. Bray, the Sinn Fein election agent of Derry, held up the searchers with two revolvers until overpowered and arrested. The crowd stoned the police, and struck the prisoner, who was seriously injured. A detective named Hoey was shot at Dublin during the night, and his condition is serious.
