PART OP TOWN UNDER WATER. BLENHEIM, This Day. Heavy rain continued last night, and the Omaka river topped its bank*. The resuit was some overflow water came into the town, the low-lying northern side being flooded. The railway line between Blenheim and Picton in many places is under water. Thu substantial banking works built by the River Board are holding wonderfully, and it is not anticipated there will b/ any serious break of the river. The rain has nbw abated somewhat, and indications point to a subsidence of the waters.
