The Board rejects Sir Auckland Geddes’ suggestion for the appointment of permanent Board of Trade attaches {alt the Bmitish Em..bassies as being unnecessary and likely to cause friction, but the Board of Trade should be empowered to send special missions abroad. The Board of ’l.‘r-ado should remain responsible for: the general commercial policy, while the department of overseas tnade should be charged with the duty and give elfect thereto.
