Later", we are told, he sucoeedefi in escaping to America, where he assumed the name of \Voc'dl'ow' Wilhson. and rose evenitu-ally Ito ifhe Presidency. The pious mountaineers are now praying fervently that he may return ‘and redeem his beloVes. and faithful ‘Tyrolese from their present prx-dicament.
