The following areas of land now open for selection by returned soldiers have been supplied to us by the secretary of the Taihapc E.S.A.: Canterbury ,'Land District.—Glenmark Settlement, one section, 287 acres. Part of Woodstock Bun, one hoid?ng, 2077 acres. Kakahu Settlement, five sections, 157 acres to 306 acies. Ohapi Settlement, six sections, from 41 acres to 87 acres. Avonhead Settlement, eighteen sections, from five acres to 20 acres. Applications for foregoing close Ist September. Canterbury Land District. Beadh SoFtlement, Ashburton County. Seven sections, largest 174 a 3r 38p; smallest 83a 3r 9p. Applications close 15th September, 1919. Hawke's Bay Land District.—Beattie Settlement, on Taupo Boad. Six sections, largest 558 a lr 2p; smallest 316 alr 9p. Applications close 17tth Seutember. Hawke's B'ay Land District.—Te Kuta Block, Waikare Kiver. Two sections, 584 acres and 607 acres. Applications close 17th September, 1919.
