The appointment oil the following new Justices of the Peace have been gazetted: For Taihape—Messrs J. R. Cunninghame, F. W. Stringer, and L. V. Daws. For Ohakune: Messrs E. O. Lightband, A. D. Wright, and G. Sargent. PRICE OF HORO HORO WORKS. Received 8.55 a:m. LONDON, Aug. 28. The price for which the Waihi Goldmining Company sold the Horo Horo hydro-electric undertaking to the New Zealand Government is £212,500. WANGANUI SUPREME COURT. BROWN ACQUITTED. WANGANUI, This Day. Ernest Brown, charged with perjury and bribery, was found not guilty on all counts at the Supreme Court. The case arose out of alleged illegal sale of whisky at Ohekune.
