THE TROUBLE IN SILESIA.
POLES GROWING BITTER

LONDON, Aug. 28,
The Australian Press Association learns there is little improvement in Silesia, where an armed revolt is in progress in the South-Eastern corner. Bitter feeling is growing among the Poles over the delay by the Entente in sending help. The situation is causing anxiety. The German Government, acting on Yon dor Golfs advice, informed the Entente that iti i'S impossible to evacuate 'Latvia before the latter part of September Meanwhile the German troops continue to perpetrate outrages.
SILESIAN PLEBISCITE. ALLIED PROTECTION GIVEN. Received 8.55 a.m. PARIS, Aug. 28. The Paris edition of the Chicago Tribune states that an American brigade will probably be used for policing Upper Silesia in order to prevent clashes between the Poles >and Germans. It is announced the Allies will control Upper Silesia during the taking of the Plebiscite.
