CRYSTAL PALACE FOR WAR MUSEUM.
Crystal Palace, known the world over, is about to emerge from its war time occupation by Government agencies and become the temporary if 110 i permanent home of the Imperial War Museum. The museum at present has no home, and the proposal to place its exhibits in the Crystal Palace has caused observers to remark that if once that great array of trophies ever gets assorted and distributed over one building it will remain in the Crystal Palace for four years, when an effort will be made to find a better and even larger permanent home. The exhibit, which has had itsnamc changed to the Imperial War Exhibition, is one of the most impressive and gigantic affairs in the Woril. The par» tions of this display are scattered over the world, a situation which will require much time and inonuy to remedy. They are scattered all over the British limpire and in France. It is stated that already there are a hundred thousand exhibits, most of them foreign trophies, but that the strictly British Army and Navy displays 'have not been reached. Even tanks anl 18-inch are to make up this visualised story of .1-Iritz>.in’s military‘ pr.)w«:ss.
