LARGE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS_ DANNEVIRKE, this day. The Hawkc’s Bay Land Board t-0-day commenced the examination of applicants for the Tira-Iu Soldier "Soft-’lenlent, on the outskirts of Dannevirke. There was a total of 370 individual‘ applications from all over New Zealand received for 34 sections, ninety per cent of the land seekers having applied for eadh iseclfion.
