The Government is also taking steps to increase general cfliciency by extending technical education for managers and workers and encouraging industrial research. Ar. inventions department will be established to encourage standardisations in British industry. A commission is now ._ considering minimum prices of agricultural products for 1920, but delay is probable. The Government will therefore undertake to continue the existing rates for twelve months. Legislation will be introduced in autumn to combat the harmful effects’ of trusts and combinations.
