STARR BOWKETT SOCIETY.
MEETING ‘IN TAIHAPE. A well-attended meeting of citizens interested in the comfiiencement of -a Starr-Bowkett Building ‘Society was held last night. The meeting Was most enthusiastic, and much’ business of a. preliminary nature was exhaustively discussed. It Was unanimously resolved to start the Society with. one issue, and if that proved successful, to start another, taking in a much bigger district, the first being confined to Taihape. A committee was set up to draft rules, and to submit the draft to a meeting to be held later, at which all persons desiring to participate areito be cordially invited to be present, so that they may take‘part in the election of ofiicers, -and other ordinary business. The committee Was instructed to give special attention to the increased cost of building in fixing the allotments to be drawn for‘. T‘
