ROSES FROM YPRES.
Some moving incidents were witnessed on the -occasion ‘of the recent Visit to Ypres of the: King and Queen of the Belgians with their guests, President and ‘Mrs Wilson. Among the 'l'uins of Ypres, King A-Ibel-t_ read the following legend: “This is holy ground. No stone of this fabric may be taken away. It is =5: heritage for all civilised pe|opl'OS.’ “I am gla dthat has been done,” said the King, “this is indeed sacred gr.o.u.nd."’ Some forty children of both sexes, natives of Ypres, were led forward by the parish cure and presented the Queen and Mrs Wilson with bouquets of white roses gathered amid the ruins. e
