ON’the Schedule of the Loan proposal submitted to the Ratepayers on 26th March 1919 (which was carried) piovision was made for the laying down of footpaths in concrete, finished with colou.rcd surface and laid .in Siabs cast in situ in Main Street, and Tui Street from Railway Station to Main Street. The Taihape Borough Council has since considered the advisability. of substituting‘ asphalt for the concrete provided for in the Loan Schedule. In Order to ascertain the wishes of the Ratepayers in respect of this ‘matter, it has been decided to take a Referendum on the question. ‘I therefore give PUBLIC NOTICE that such Referendum will be taken at the Council Chambers of the Town Hall, Taihape, on THURSDAY, the 28th day of August, 1919 between the hours of 9 a.ln. and 6 pm.
