VALEDICTORY.

Last night the Post Ofiice staff and the Huia Hockey Club entertained‘ Miss B. Richards at a farewell social and dance in the Druids’ Hall. Miss Rfchards, who -has been a member of the local P_O. staff for the past two 3.-cars, is under transfer to Geraldine. During her stay here she has‘ made herself popular with the other membcrs of the staff, and has also made many friends amongst the residents cf the town. She was an enthusi ‘e sport, and a keen hockey playerfgd will be much missed by her team. During the evening Miss Richards wagpzesented with a gold amethyst pendant and chain from the lady members of the Post Oifice and members of the Hockey Club.
