TOURS OF THE WAR ZONE.
I am told that one of the companies‘ arranging tours of the'war‘ zone, Says‘ a writer in the London “Chronicle, ’-’§ ]are proposing _an inclusive fee of 100‘ lguineas to cover every expense from the time that the visitor reaches Amiens until -he arrives back again a week later. ' I Comfortable chateaux, food, luxurious French motor ears, experienced ‘guides, formerly officers in the Allied ]armies, and free wine are provided. iThe tours vary, but roughly it is pos~ ]sil:~le for the visitor to spend his Week in the British none north of the Somme, or else to go to the Ameri. can and the French fronts, or if a visi‘tor feels specially energetic he can hustle through the whole front in 0110 week. 4 There is a feeling of sacrilege at the idea of our battlefields being visited by a tourist, but no doubt many parents Will wish to take advantage of ithe proposed arrangement in order to i see their sons’ graves. The tours were to start immediately after the signing ‘of peace. .
