Hanan, says only two‘! applications for primary school build- 1 lings at Palmerston are before the de'_lpartment_ The department has not ',objected to recommending grants .for* ' essential class room ‘accommodation; jon the contrary, in one of the cases; lreferred to it actually suggested in-; Icreasing the accommodation, but it ob—jected to unnecessarily expensive ‘feaJtures embodied in their plans. In one ‘ case the plans submitted” embodied provision of a pavilion in the assembly I hall, to cost about ‘£4ooo.
