GERMANY’S LOST FLEET.

SCAPA FLO-W SINKING, -!—-In _ PR()PHETIC WARNING_ The German Fleet at Sealpa .Fl'ow was scuttled 011 June 21 last. On l\lay 17 an article by Mr H. C. Feeraby appear‘ing in Country Life. contained tlle following prophetic passages;_ One thing that has to be guarded against, and it is a possibility that ‘grows more insistent as the time for the decision about the fate of the ships comes nearer, is that of an at,tempt on the part of the care and nraintenanee parties Ito gseugttle .v_t;'h.e ships. It is obvious from the tone of the German papers that even now the German naval men expect that. their ships will be returned to them when peace has been signed. It was only the other day that one paper devoted attention to the problem of changing the names of the ships now interned at Seapa "when they are returned Ito us.” There will ‘be :1 rude awakening from that dream one day soon, and on that day the task of the guardians of the imprisoned fleet will be a trying one. It is not difficult ‘to arrange for the flooding of man-of-war, and the small German crews kept aboard, each a Seapa prisoner, can easily escape in their own boats before the vessel settles down.
