The 1 combined factories have a capacity for dealing with 3860 carcascs Of beef, and 129,150 carcases of sheep per day, with a total storage capacity equal to 7,385,272 caxcases of mutton. Five of the works are in the Auckland province, while there are nine in Hawke’s Bay, 1"n11i' in Tm'an.'lki. ten in Weiiington. one each in Marlborough, 311$ Nelson, seven in Canterbury, four in Otago, and four in Southland.
