TO BE CONTINUED. ' LONDON, July 8. There was considerable opposition in the House of C-ommons to a. proposal in the Finance Bill to continue until August, 1920, the war-time duties imposed ifi 1915. Mr Chamberlain agreed to limit the reimposition till May 1920, when he would explain the fiscal policy. There was no ‘intention now of raising were still pl'evailing._ A Labour demand for the abolition of the. tea duty, as hearing very heavily on 1-_lle.pool' classes, was negatived.
