The following ‘is the Engineer’s report for last month. ._ WANGAEHU RIDING. Heavy trafiic has done considerable damage to gravelling on Whareroa Road. I have stopped this traflic until a guarantee is given that no more damage will be done. The ccnti-actor has promised to repair the portion already damaged. ‘ OTAIRI RIDING. I ' TEKAPUA RIDING. _ Unmetalled roads are .ve=.°j,* sloppv, but no slips of any conseqnir.-nsze have occurred. The Panemango-K-oeke Road were gravellea with burnt pap-3., and is she W'ing considerable damage and pr-ox-}s?on should be‘ made for repairs-next; summer, either by burning 500 cubic yards of papa or delivery of ballast from Mataroa by motor lorry.
