It is estimated that five million Germans will leave the country. THE BRITISH COLLIERIES. JUSTICE SANKEY RECOMMENDS NATION ALSATON. DELEGATES CONCUR LONDON, June 21. Official Justice Sankey’s report separately recommends the Government to immediately- acquire all coal royalties, compensating the owners, and to purchase the mines at a fair, price after three years. The miners’ delegates agree' with Judge Sankey substantially, thougn Messrs. Smellie, Hodges, and Smith oppose compensation for royalties. The owners delegates oppose the nationalisation of mines, Jbut favour State co-operation with the owners under a Ministry of Mines. They do not oppose the acquirement of their royalties if they receive compensation.
NATIONALISATION OPPOSED.
LONDON, June 21. Sir Artnur Duckham, chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Munitions, in an independent report, sums up against the nationalisation of collieries. He says the Government should acquire the mineral rights.
