PEACE CELEBRATIONS.
The following letter from the Hon. G. W.- Russell, ;Minister for Internal Affairs, was read at the meeting of the Borough Council last night. In view of the cabled in.'fornlation_.reeeived thislmxorning, that. the..Gerrnan, National Assembly had ‘decided A to accept the peace terms, the letter._ has acquired immediate interest, and ,-«we. , publish «it in full:- _ Sir,—With reference to the question of the desirability of sufficient notice being given to local bodies as to the actual days on which Peace Celebrations arefto beheld, I have now to inform you that Cabinet has decided that $0 celebrations will take place on the ’cond- Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday aftezathe receipt in the Dominion of the oiiicial announcement of preliminary .|‘ Peace having. been signed.
