SCIENTISTS IN AGREEMENT. 7 VVORLD CAMPAIGN FAVOURED A group of eminent child specialists attending the conference convened at Cannes recently by the Committee of Rd Cross Societies, declared that a. world-W_ide child Welfare cfimpaign should !be the first concern of the new Internation_al Red Cross. , Dr.’L_ Emme/cit, Holtlu. of 3 l\'e\v York, presented a report of the<section on’ Child i\§elf_al{e,. of which Sir Arthur N(l\\’ShOllllé wasiehairrnan, f‘to secure equality of ppportunify for every country and of‘ whatmier socialicon~ dition.” Sir Arthur-Newsholme pointed out that every report presefiied to the conference. whether it dealt with in?crculosis. preventive mecliciiie, hygiene, malaria, or nursing, had indirectly and fundaineiltalljv fo do "With child welfare.
