Received 10.45 n.tn. LONDON, June 12. There is a -generous overflow of oil at the borings in Derbyshi-e, and tie quality of the oil is excellent. The King at Buckingham Palace 1 invested Admiral Beatty and Marshal Haig with the Order of Merit, Subsequently, at the (Juildhall, Beatty and Haig were presented with the freedom of the city. The Australian and American eights have arrived at Henley. The New Zealanders, Canadians and several English eights are expected daily. The Australians have createod an excellent impression. Experts anticipate they will prove very fast, and are likely to start favourites for the King's Cup. Mr. W. M. Hughes, has decided that all Australian flights will be postponed till September owing to inadequate preparations^ LONDON, June 12. The Victory Loan consists, of two issues of an unlimited amount, the first at f our per cent., funding lonn price being 80, repayable at par from 1960 to 1990 by means of a sinking fund. The second at four per cent. Victory bonds, price eight-five, redeemable 'by annual drawings commencing on September Ist, 1920. The prospectus does not state the period over which redemption will extend. The purchaser will thus receive over 94/ per cent, interest upon investment, and a bonus of £ls per cent when the capital is repaid. Payment of both issues will be made in instalments lasting till January, 1920, and be pur.chaseable at post offices. Bonds will be accepted in payment of death duP ies. Previous "war loans and exchequer bonds will be accepted in payment of either issue.
