Received 8.55 a.m. NEW YORK, May 17 The New York Times’ Copenhagen correspondent learns from a reliable source that General Mannerheim, with the Finnish army, is within twenty miles of Petrograd. and expects to enter the city in a few days. Bolshevik authorities have left- Petrograd. and have gone to Moscow. PEACE ARRANGED BETWEEN UKRAINE AND POLAND. Received 8.50 a.m. NEW YORK, May 16. The New York Evening Sun’s Paris correspondent states peace between the Ukrainians and Poles has been arranged by the Big Four. This means the union of the Ukrainian and Polish armies to expel ‘the Bolsheviks from Ukraine. Haller’s army is now in Poland and will join in a campaign, which the Allies will back. o BOLSHEVIK DENIAL. j ! Received 10.10 a.m. NEW YORK, May 28. Bolsheviks deny that the fall of Petrograd is imminent. NAVAL ACTION AGAINST BOLSHEVIKS. i Received May 20, 10.10 a.m. LONDON, May 28. British submarines have been sent to the Baltic to assist a powerful squadron of British surface ships against the Bolshevik fleet.
