CONTINUANCE MAJORITY 9,732 A Press Association message contains the result of the polling on the licensing issue among ithe troops on the transports Carpentaria and Arawa, the two vessels giving an aggregate addition of 5339 vote s to the continuance lead, thus bringing the majority .to 9,732. The voting on the vessels wa s as follows: CARPENTARIA.

S9 Majority for Continuance 396 ARAWA. .. 507 .. 64 Majority for Continuance 443 The total soldiers' vote to date now stands at 38,311, the polling being:— 30,854 ( 7,457 Majority for Continuance 23,397 The present state of the ■\vhole poll is: 262,899 • 253,167 Majority for Continuance 9,732
