Belakun's Note of surrender provoked such strong feeling against him, even in workmen's circles, that ho was nearly lynched at a meeting of the; Workmenjs and Soldiers' Council. Most> of the People's Commissioners have fled from Sudapesth. fearing the mob will commit outrages. An airship is l ready to carry Belakun and his associates when peril necessitates flight. The Dail) Chronicle's Copenhagen correspondent state? 's that the army is deserting Divisions are joining the Roumanians. <vho are within fifty kilometres of Budapesth, Belakun has issued a proclamation calling to the colours those with military training. Others \vi}? be enrolled in training battalions or employed in trench-dig-ging. Budapesth has been declared a war area.
