MINES ON NEW ZEALAND COAST.
NO FURTHER DANGER FEAEED.
WELLINGTON, this day
It is considered fairly certain new that no German mines are anchored in the minefields off the New Zealand coast, though precautions are still being observed by shipping. The only mines located in recent months have been those found on the coast, where they drifted ashore. The number of mines accounted for is approximately 45 out of sixty mines laid. It is exceedingly improbable that all the mines will ever be accounted for, since some may have sunk, and others exploded on unsettled portions of the coast.
